Mail delivery

Mail is delivered through the mail slot of your garage door on Monday through Saturday.

Trash pickup

Trash pickup is provided weekly by the City of San Diego Environmental Services Department, Refuse Collection (858-694-7000) at curbside outside your garage. Generally, trash pickup is on Friday. But when a City holiday occurs on or before "trash day", then trash pickup is a day later that week. When a holiday occurs after "trash day", then trash pickup day is unchanged that week. The City uses a truck-mounted mechanical arm to lift and empty trash bins, and requires residents to use only the trash bins provided by the City.

Curbside Recycling

Curbside Recycling is provided every two weeks (on alternate trash days) by the City of San Diego Environmental Services Department (858-694-7000) at curbside outside your garage. The City delivered new, blue recycling containers for this program on 29 February 2000. You have a choice of 32 gallon, 64 gallon, or 96 gallon sizes. If the size container delivered to your home is not appropriate for your family, call Environmental Services at 858-694-7000 to arrange an exchange. Or, exchange the container yourself at 8353 Miramar Place, Mon-Fri 8-4. Recycling pickup began 14 March 2000 for Villa Monterey. Water

City of San Diego Water Department (619-515-3500) provides Villa Monterey's water. Your water meter is underground, behind your residence. The Water Department reads water meters every two months but a water bill is generated monthly. Alternate bills are adjusted for the most recent meter reading.

Street Sweeping

The City of San Diego Street Division (619-527-3482) sweeps streets on the first Thursday of the month.

Gas & Electric

San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) provides gas and electric service (800-411-7343). Gas and electric meters are read every month.

Telephone

The Tierrasanta area is served by SBC (800-310-2355).

Cable TV

The Tierrasanta area is served by Time-Warner Cable (695-3220).

Internet Service Providers

There are several dial-up ISPs serving the area. Villa Monterey area also has DSL and cable modem service. There is a partial listing of local ISPs at SDSU.
